Truckee River: Year round

We offer half and full day trips on the river. The price of each trip includes all gear you will need (waders, boots, rods, flies, etc.) and is good for 1-2 anglers. A third angler can be added for an additional $125. Bottled water and snacks will be available on all trips. Lunch is included on full day trips.

Please come prepared with a valid California fishing license. These can be purchased locally at Mountain Hardware and Sports in Truckee or online HERE. 

Pyramid Lake: October 1st - June 30th

Located about 45 minutes north of Reno NV., Pyramid lake is home to the world's largest cutthroat trout. These fish can range in size from 12 inches to well over 20 pounds. Big Wild Fly Fishing offers full day guided fishing trips at the lake. All gear is provided and the cost of the trip is good for one or two anglers. All you need to bring is warm clothing, polarized sunglasses, and lots of questions!
